• We are approaching the beginning of breeding season, and many babies will be available in the spring.  Feel free to contact us at parrotlover@kandkparrots.com to check on the status of a particular species.  If you know what you want, we strongly encourage you to consider putting your name on our waiting list (see details below)
• We only sell weaned, hand-fed baby parrots.  We have a quality team that handle and care for our babies to keep them social and sweet.  We teach them to step up and perch.  They are allowed to fledge to learn how to fly, and we wean them to a high quality pelleted diet. 
• Approximate prices are listed on our Price List Page. 
• Babies can take 3 to 9 months to wean, so we encourage you to order early.  In many cases it will be awhile before your baby goes home with you, so you will have time to save for the remainder of the price of your bird.   
• Most birds will be reserved prior to being a month old!
• We will NOT reserve or order any baby until we have a deposit.  Remember that a bird may be available one day and sold the next! 
• We will be happy to DNA sex any baby in our aviary that you have purchased ($38).  
• You will receive your 10% supplies discount and discount code for shopping at our stores once you have made your deposit
• If you live within driving distance, we encourage you to visit and get to know your new baby as often as possible!  If you are too far to be able to visit, we can send you progress updates and pictures by e-mail. 
• Once your baby is weaned on to their "big kid" diet of pellets and kibble, he will be ready to go home.  The balance on your bird, including any shipping or DNA sexing, will be due and payable, preferrably by credit, cash, or PayPal. 
• Once you are notified that your baby is weaned, or if you buy a baby that is already weaned, shipping or pick up must be done within 2 weeks, otherwise we will begin charging boarding fees.  (unless prior arrangements have been made)
• All of our babies learn how to fly, but will have both wings and nails trimmed prior to going home.  (Important - a trimmed bird can still fly!!!!  Do not take them out of their crate until you have them home, and PLEASE don't take them outside without a leash or cage.  Our 1 year health warranty DOES NOT cover birds that have been lost or killed)
• Payment Plans - We understand that parrots can be expensive!  Don't let that get in your way of owning the pet you really want!  We do offer payment plans for customers that need to save up for their bird.  (This cannot be used for a bird that we already have that is close to or already weaned.)  Contact us for details. 

1. We require a deposit of 50% of the purchase price to reserve a bird that is available, or that we are getting for you from a breeder in our network. This can be made by credit, PayPal, check, or cash. The remainder is due when the baby goes home (when weaned). Final payments cannot be made by check.
2. If we don't currently have a parrot that you are interested in at our location at this time, we would be glad to search availablity and current price through the breeders in our network. (We will only do this "search" if you are looking for a current purchase. If you are not interested in buying until 6 months from now, then this search is not feasible) If a baby is available, we will need a deposit of 50% sent to us within 24 hours to reserve it through the breeder. If a baby is not currently available, we can put you on our waiting list until one becomes available. To be put on the waiting list:
   • Requires a $20 deposit (refundable).  We require this so that we know you are a serious buyer. 
   • You tell us how long you are willing to wait for an available baby.  We will notify our breeders that we are waiting and will call them frequently for updates, which we will then pass along to you.  If the time expires, we will quickly refund your $20.
   • If we find a baby in the time frame that you have set, or if one becomes available in our own breeding facility, the $20 goes towards the deposit (50% of the purchase price). The remainder of the deposit is due within 24 hours of notification.
   • We work hard for you and our time is valuable! - If you decide to purchase elsewhere during the time frame that you have set, or the remainder of the 50% deposit is not sent to us within 24 hours of notification, the $20 is considered forfeited as payment for our services.

   Please note: Once a deposit of 50% has been made to reserve a particular bird, most deposits are non refundable. (We guarantee that you will like the bird that we raise for you, or we will get a different bird for you.) However -we reserve the right to choose not to sell a parrot if we feel that it is not in the best interest of our baby, in which case we would refund your deposit.

To purchase one of our birds:  50% deposit to reserve your baby until it is weaned.  Final payments are due at the time of delivery. (personal checks not accepted for final payment)  We accept all major credit cards and PayPal
